Thanks for this beauty !!!

J'ai bien aimé. Beaucoup de travail et de talent pour si peu d'auditeurs. Dommage ! Merci
Was this a finish korg made?? Or is that custom? Looks friggin cool
I got lucky and got one they made a special edition that was a demo model for retailers I have only ever seen one other one ;-)
Se puede tocar cumbia
What speakers and stands are you using?
🔥💯
Still a fantastic demo
Thank you too much!
Hey! Where is the setting for looping? I've been looking for it forever and genuinely believe it didn't exist until I came across your video. There isn't even anything in the manual. Would love some more intel on this.
Wish I could help but I no longer own the device I used Ableton mainly now
Page 50 on the manual. But you can't loop on the fly
I don't know if you'll ever see this comment, but my wife and I used your cover of At Last as our wedding song. Thank you so much for providing this beautiful rendition of a classic!
Awesome. Thanks. Now I know my VST will do
Wow. Didn’t know that the keyboard on this instrument was actually playable. I’ve only seen videos of people pressing a single note and then twisting knobs for three hours. Good to know that I will actually be able to play this instrument. Thank you.
It is a great feeling keyboard!
Hi, I'm going to try a SV1, but what makes me afraid is the little lamp. Did you experiences some interferences playing this instrument in an environment with neon lights or cellphones?
Also, it is specified that the lamp is of "indetermined lifespan"... I read it is impossible to replace it whitout opening the instrument, this is the other concern I have about this piano. But it sounds hawsomely great!
for sure need an exp pedal now
Wow!! Amazing! Do you record at 24 bits 48 khz?
Hello. It would be really helpful if you Could advise on a good amp system for the Korg SV1. Any suggestions? 🙏🏼
nice, thank you for this
Sounds great. I take it each track can have a different loop length. Or it it that some tracks have a fixed loop length (like your drum loop) whereas others record indefinitely (like the trumpet)?
Yes!
Swell mode reverb my favorite
Yesssssss
This is by far the best demo of this board, can't wait till mine arrives
Thanks for the kind words! Congratulations on the new instrument!
Any issues with your M.O. buddy?
been good so far!
Your very Talented !
Cool video. I use the r24 but have never used the drums or loops. Sounds great. I use mine to record my tracks and transfer them to a daw or use it with . Daw as a control surface for mixdown. I need to learn how to do the loop based like you are. Pretty awesome device. Does everything.
Maravillosa máquina!
Pianos and synth sounds are awful... everything else sounds good.
Its strength is definitely the electric pianos! The acoustic piano can work in the right context but I agree that it is not amazing sounding
What do you use as a speaker/amp?
Same question, how did you record ? Mixing desk, soundcard?
Hello, thank you very much for your video! I’m working with an R24, but I need to find a way to syncronize it with Logic Pro. Just to explain how I work: I often start using a drum machine synchronised with Logic (recording the drum machine on 2 or 4 tracks of Logic) OR create the drum parts in Logic with its virtual instruments. Then I transfer the drum parts from Logic (recorded as audio) into the R24. I go on with my tracks by adding keyboards, bass and guitar parts directly onto the R24 itself, working dawless until the final stage of mixing. For me it is more easy and immediate, and in this creative phase I can forget the mess and troubles of the software computer looking always at the screen… My question is: as the R24 has no MIDI connectors, how can I transfer all these R24 tracks back to Logic syncronized “in time”?…. Or, in general, how can I run both Logic and R24 to work together? (no matter which will be the master or slave). Maybe there is a possibility to send or receive midi clock / midi time code when the R24 is connected via USB though the interface? Thank you in advance for your help!
This synth will always be out of reach for me so I appreciate you sharing some sounds!
Anybody here is audio engineer? Can zoom r24 change the humbucker pickup tone to the single coil by using parametric eq in display mode or amp eq in insert effect mode? If can, would you please give me the detail of the parameter and patch setting.... tq sir...
Yep, great sounds, thanks!
A trip to Mars ... 👍
Excellent demo! One thing i would love to see and no video is available, is basically modulating the filter(s) with noise. Basically going out from noise out to a attenuator, then into filter, playing very low notes, with reverb. That trick is used by many like Abul Mogard. Any chance you can demo this? This is very useful usually with red or pink noise so i dont know if this can be achieved by Matriarch. See the demo of MatrixBrute by sonic state.
InstaBlaster
I always get a high pitched noise constantly ringing whenever I plug my matriarch into my daw. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Hit the Matriarch hard with a hammer for 10 mins and you'll be good to go.
Make sure you are using unbalanced cables. Also things like cell phones near the synth can cause interference.
just the two of us , 3.36 ,
Yup!
invest in a tuner
yea the sub phatty had some tuning issues but the firmware update is much better. I have plenty of tuners thanks
Spacey 🪐
amazing
Thanks!
Just being able to concentrate and keep track of everything impresses the heck out of me. Keep up the good work son. You have a real gift in music!
Can you plug it directly to your sound interface then into your mac?
Absolutely! That is how it is going here. The USB is actually only MIDI and will not pass audio to your computer. I offer online lessons if you ever need help getting set up :-)
@@williammandell7646 thank you very much! I think what i wanted to understand is whether you can pass audio to your mac via a sound interface or do you need an amp? How does one get sounds out of the moog without speaker/monitors and with only a sound interface and a macbook? Thank you :))
@@nikosvrakas5956 That depends on how you have your software set up and what interface you are using. You should not need an amp but the sound interface needs preamps to plug the instrument in. If you want to schedule a short, half price tutorial feel free to visit brokenhornstudios.com and fill out the contact form. I can help answer your questions easier on zoom probably :-)
Sounds dope
your demo is excellent
Thanks for checking it out!
This is a great pre-purchase demo. It's like I'm playing it at the store but somehow I know what I'm doing. This is really helpful during the pandemic. 👍🏼
Awesome thank you so much! Did you end up pulling the trigger?? It is definitely a fun instrument
@@slowdayzmusic1850 I'm still trying to decide, there are way too many good options in this price range nowadays!
@@kwaping So what did you end up getting ?
@@levraichris3321 it's been a long journey since then! I did get one, then decided I wanted presets so I traded for a Matrixbrute. Then I didn't like that sound so finally I ended up with a Pro 3.
@@kwaping pro 3 is a beast of a synth as well ! Hope you enjoy it !
This demo may be the demo that broke the camel's back. I have been trying my best not to try out the Matriarch at the store since it came out. I used to play the Grandmother at the store but as I have a Sub37 I convinced myself that I don't need the Grandmother. I've seen the Matriarch and said to myself I don't need it as I have an analogue poly synth and two string synths so I'm good. This video has changed my mind. Your use of the reverb as well as modulation and pitch really makes the Matriarch sing and I love it when an analogue synthesizer sings and doesn't just either make noise or plays flat. Excellent demo Broken Horn Studios. Congratulations
Thanks for the awesome words! It is a really cool instrument and Moog makes fabulous products.
I’m selling my Sub37 and ordered Matriarch! Less menu diving, more hands on!
What are you using for a pedal on this to control the filter? Just a normal Moog Expression pedal?
Yes just standard and you can use CV to route the expression to anywhere you want..in this case the cutoff of the filter
great vid thx!
Thank you for watching!
AMAZING
Great video, just a question. How are you recording the keyboard sounds to get the crisp audio?
I got directly into an audio interface
Thanks for the demo. The way I work I would set it on one patch and leave it, a $2,000.00 bass patch is probably what it would be for me.
Thanks for watching! Sometimes it totally is that for me but even then it sounds great and has flexibility with just one patch. It is definitely not the most easy to use instrument i have but a fun learning experience and it sounds AWESOME
@@Zevmadeit No doubt it sounds amazing. I like to work fast so these types of synths are more for the tweakers and guys that really know their way around a modular system, that's not me.
@@Pulse2AM Totally. Check out your stuff..sounds cool!
@@Zevmadeit Cheers, thanks for the listen.
Pulse2AM is contend that it’s for people who are interested in making the transition to learning modular synthesis and that sets it apart from a lot of modular synths. You could piece together a whole album without using one cable on it and yet go off planet with every connection. With that said, $2,000 is a lot and I’ll likely never spend that much on a synth “maybe” ever again (OB6 and P12 both sound nice, but I’m content with my Rev2).
SO COOL! Can you explain how to vibrato?
There are a few ways to do it..usually the LFO modulates the pitch of the oscillators.
